Chef Alan Sternberg
Inspired by global cuisine yet firmly grounded by strong Indiana roots, chef Alan Sternberg ranks among the top young chefs in the country. The 30-year-old executive chef of Cerulean restaurant in Indianapolis is a Rising Star Chef of the Year semifinalist in the 2016 James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards. With an eye for design and an appreciation of local, seasonal ingredients, Alan has become known for creative food that is as beautiful as it is delicious. His modern Midwestern cuisine has been featured in Travel & Leisure, Indianapolis Monthly, The Indianapolis Star and The Indianapolis Recorder newspapers, in NUVO Newsweekly, on WISH-TV's Indy Style morning show, WFYI-FM public radio and at Thrillist.com andStay.com. The young chef is always busy in the kitchen at Cerulean, but makes time to participate in local food events and enjoy Indy's vibrant Fountain Square neighborhood where he lives with his wife Audra and 2 kids.
Audra Sternberg FOH
Born in Anderson Indiana, Audra and Alan were high school sweet hearts. While Alan pursued the culinary field, Audra pursued photography. She is now a freelance food photographer who has worked with several chefs and restaurants in and around Indiana. Because she loves a challenge, Audra started throwing events including, beer festivals and specialized dinners. Now she works side by side with her husband Alan at Cerulean where she is the media & marketing manager and works front of house. Audra's personal life revolves around being a mom to Addy and AJ, a dog named Winnie and two cats, Hank and Ziggy
